CalWild: Protecting California's Wild Places
CalWild was founded in 1976 to utilize the novel “Wilderness” and “Wild & Scenic Rivers” designations to permanently protect lands and waterways in California from commercial development, extraction of natural resources, destroy cultural heritage sites and other factors that would disturb wildlife and ecosystems throughout the state. We worked through the core principles of the nonprofit, its nearly 50 years of conservation wins, and current campaigns. We distilled it into a single document to share with potential partners and collaborators to quickly communicate CalWild’s mission and history to support future campaigns. It also incorporates the recent rebrand created by R.J. Rabe.
